Telegraph Ave - Childish Gambino - Ta-ku Remix
Move Love - Robert Glasper Experiment - Kaytranada Edition
Blog fave, Kaytranada is back with a remix of an artist I’ve been praying would get some remix love from the electronic/hiphop crowd. Robert Glasper is a musical great. His music moves people and is moving in every way(ironically the title of the song is “Move Love”). Swinging hard and doing the original much justice, Kaytranada’s remix is banging, as expected. Dig.
A$AP Ferg - “Shabba” Remix ft. Shabba Ranks, Busta Rhymes & Migos
Dancehall legend Shabba Ranks joins A$AP Ferg, the great Busta Rhymes and Migos on this banger that brings me back to my high school obsession with dancehall… If for nothing other than Shabba Ranks and Busta Rhymes… and the dancehall beat.. Enjoy.
Speak in Rounds - Grizzly Bear - Bonde Do Role Remix
Brazilian greats, Bonde Do Role, remix Grizzly Bear’s Speak in Rounds and the outcome is fantastic. This is actually the first song I’ve heard from Bonde Do Role that wasn’t an original. It’s dope. Dig it.
by The Lumineers
album Hunger Games - Catching Fire Soundtrack
This is an absolutely beautiful song from The Lumineers. Thank Jah for new music from this fantastic band. This track is featured on the Hunger Games - Catching Fire Soundtrack. Enjoy.
Grizzly Child - Goldwash - Beyonce vs Grizzly Bear
The newly debuted artist to the City Hall audience, Goldwash, is back with a banging mash/remix for your listening pleasure. According to his Soundcloud - Grizzly Child is “dedicated to Beyonce’s appearance at Grizzly Bear’s 2009 free Brooklyn concert.” Dig it.
Glow True - Built To Fade
Built to Fade is a fantastic project from Anna Wise(of Sonnymoon), Dane Ferguson, Zoe Wick and one of my production hero’s - Kno (of CunninLynguists). Built To Fade’s debut album, To Dust, dropped last week on 11.12.13 and is a tremendous offering of music. Here’s a cut called “Glow True” featuring guitar from long-time Kno collaborator Willie Eames. I bought the album. You should too.
Wu-Tangs Maneater feat the Hall & Oates - The Melker Project - Ballin Oates
City Hall fave/homie, The Melker Project, dropped off this remix album “Ballin Oates" last week and admittedly I was so damn busy I didn’t get to give it the immediate play, most of Melker’s projects get when they hit my inbox. I was sleeping. This shit is awesome. The Melker Project takes "Hall & Oates", one of my fave groups, and smashes them with hip-hop/trap remixes worth of a damn award. This is awesome. Dig it.
I Mind Remix - James Blake - Prod by Oh4Re△L?! - Analog Division
Banging remix from Analog Division. Dig it.
Diamonds - Goldwash
Boh! Introducing Goldwash aka Gabriel Acheson. Stumbled across this cut on Soundcloud and god———damn. Very impresed.
According to his Soundcloud - Goldwash is about coating reality in a golden hue: changing events, feelings, and thoughts into something palatable and hopefully beautiful. Goldwash is a songwriting project, albeit in an unusual medium (electronic music), telling narratives with sound as much as with lyrics.
That said, this track and his Constant Bliss EP are effing spectacular and now on steady repeat in my headphones. Enjoy friends.
The Clean Hand - Blu - Prod by Pete Rock
Naughty Boy - La La La - Woodys Produce Remix
Back on the blog is the homie, Woody, with his latest remix. This time reworking Naughty Boy’s La La La which apparently was huge in the UK. In Woody’s own words:
To celebrate my first time visiting London, I decided to remix a track that was a massive hit in the UK. I hadn’t even heard the song until recently- and when I found the acapella, I knew what had to be done. This is my take on La La La. Now back to spending these £££££!!!

Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe - Gentlemen Hall - Kendrick Lamar Cover
Here’s a cool cover of K Dot's jammer, Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe, from Gentlemen Hall of Boston, Mass. Dig it.
Nightcall - Kavinsky - London Grammar Cover (LG Re-edit)
Love Game feat Kendrick Lamar
album The Marshall Mathers LP 2
Love Game is the only track on Eminem’s new album “The Marshall Mathers LP 2" that features another emcee. Thankfully, Em tapped Kendrick Lamar to be his only companion emcee on the joint, cuz K Dot rises to the occasion in a very real way. They both bring it on this record seemingly pushed by each other. Kendrick seems so pumped on the feature and that energy carries through the song. Dig it.
