album Diet Mountain Dew [Remix]
Yet another jammer remix from Urban Noize… aaaaaand another jammer remix/mashup of Hova and Lana. I’ve posted Urban Noize before (search feature-top left sidebar) and I will likely post them again and again. Production/remix duo and twins Steve & Steven of Urban Noize have established a unique sound in their remixes. For this track, they mix Jay-Z’s verses from “Best of Me” feat Mya (remember that video?) and Lana Del Rey’s “Diet Mtn Dew” with elements of their own production. Enjoy.

Dirt Off Your Shoulder vs Born to Die - Lana Del Rey vs Jay-Z - Scott Melker Remix - Click to download.
Banger. Scott Melker gives us this Lana Del Rey vs Jay-Z mashup/remix/jam. I’ll let him describe it for you:
Everybody is doing a remix with a Lana Del Rey song. I don’t want to be a nobody. I want to join everybody. This is a serious remix. I am very proud of myself. I hope you are proud of me too. Let’s be friends.
This is a “mashup” /remix of Jay-Z’s “Dirt Off Your Shoulders,” Lana’s “Born To Die, Jamie Foxx’s and Rick Ross’s “Living Better Now,” Ice Cube’s “I Rep The West,” and some self produced elements.
by Lana Del Rey (RAC Mix)
RAC (Remix Artist Collective) are among the top remixing DJ/producers doing it. If you search for RAC in the search box in the top left of this blog, you’ll find a gang of their remixes. I frequently post their music, because they frequently make GREAT SONGS. This is no different. RAC takes on Lana Del Rey and remixes Blue Jeans. Dope.

album Born Ready to Die - Terry Urban - Biggie vs Lana Del Rey
Wowzers, here we go. Terry Urban has released his tribute to the late, great Notorious B.I.G., Born Ready to Die, in honor of the 15th anniversary of Biggie’s death (March 9, 1997). This project combines samples and remixes music from Lana Del Rey’s “Born to Die” and Biggie’s lyrics from “Ready to Die”. The main track posted here is great and my standout from the mix thus far. Combining samples from LDR’s “Video Games” and the acapella of Big’s “Dead Wrong” we get “Wrong Game”. Gat Damn… Listen to the rest of the album below and download it here.
by Smiler & Lana Del Rey
That’s right a NEW (to me and likely you) track from Ms Lana Del Rey. This pouty bombshell was apparently recording Born to Die in a studio next to UK rapper Smiler. Smiler invited her in to sing the vocals on the Shirley Bassey cover of Big Spender. The result is this banger that’s going to be on Smiler’s new album. Dig.
Leeni aka Prom Queen (see below) hails from Seattle and has got me. She writes, produces, engineers and performs her own songs. She makes chiptune songs. This remix was done using two Gameboys and actual video game music. There’s a video of this track with video game scenes from the Barbie video game. Lana Del Rey meet Leeni, she’s got skills kid.

Dear Jah. This is banging. Kill Paris aka Corey Baker delivers us this certified jammer remix of Lana Del Rey’s “Without You”. I don’t know what to call it besides banging. Kill Paris is actually a certified Ableton Live instructor and he uses it in live shows to trigger loops of drums, bass, etc while mixing different tracks. Check Kill Paris on his Soundcloud.

Urban Noize is incredible. This Miami based dj/producer duo kills the mashup/remixes. They blend songs while using their own production to tie the pieces together. It’s quite amazing what they do. The above song is a mashup of Jay-Z & Pharrell & Lana Del Rey. Incredible.

album Born to Die
Jammer from the forthcoming Born to Die. Ever since seeing LDR bomb on SNL, I’ve both been a bit down on her as well as feel bad for her. It was NOT the worst performance I’d seen. She was just not ready. Anywho, enjoy.
Radio - Lana Del Rey
Now my life is sweet like cinnamon, like a fuckin’ dream I’m livin’ in. Baby love me ‘cause I’m playin’ on the Radio. How do you like me now? Pick me up and take me like a vitamin, ‘cause my body’s sweet like sugar venom, oh yeah.

LDR is back with another “leak” off of her forthcoming debut LP, Born to Die. Newly signed to NEXT Model Management on a modeling contract, she’s just blowing the hell up in the pop culture world and it’s ridic. I’m excited for this release. It’s sure to be a banging album, full of sass, sex and seduction. Stay tuned for more.

As evidenced by my obsessive posting of every single one of her songs I get my hands on, I have a mega crush on Lana Del Rey. She is freaking sexy as hell and can sing. Here’s a new cut, National Anthem. I don’t think it’s as good as some of her others. It’s an interesting song praising money as the anthem of success and reason we exist? While I disagree, it’s a pretty cool track. The beat is awesome to it. Anywho, without further ado:

Penguin Prison is no stranger to this blog. Based out of NYC, PP is the man. His original tracks and remixes are great and he has a unique poppy/dancey song that is infectiously catchy. Dig. Support good music and Buy his album on iTunes.
