by Gorillaz feat Andre 3000 and James Murphy
I haven’t been this pumped about a new song in a minute. This is THE JAM. The Gorillaz featuring James Murphy (of LCD Soundsystem fame) and one of the greatest emcee’s/musicians ever to do it Andre 3000 aka Andre Benjamin aka Andre 3 stacks. Dude is the truth. Musically ridiculous. I love this track. James and Damon lay down a sick musical track while Andre steals the show. Leaving the song begging for a new Outkast album by the end. Enjoy.

I saw firsthand where the music we made ended up. It turned up in sterile bullshit clubs in LA, seperated from the spirit we made it in. ~ MIA
Smoke Sumthin - Curren$y & Lil Wayne - These two take a stab at the classic beat from Outkast’s Elevators.
Austin Powers vs Big K.R.I.T. vs UGK - Wick-it Remix - Wick-it does it again. I’m convinced this dude can’t make bad tunes.
Faith No More and M.I.A. - Epic Money - Wick-it Remix - Can’t get enough Wick-it Remixes today…

Bulgarian Chicks - Balkan Beat Box - Bulgarian Chicks is not new. In fact it’s about 3 years old, but I just discovered it while perusing a fave blog of mine, empt. Dope.
Girls on Girls (Captain Cuts Remix) - Beastie Boys x Beyonce - Another cool track found at empt, Girls on Girls is a really BIG mashup. Lots of elements, lots of big pieces. Party BANGer. Also notable: Beyonce is effin gorgeous. Look at that pic above. Natural beauty. Damn.
Bomb Like Me - DJ 501 - Outkast vs TV on the Radio - WOOOOOO! Jammerstiltskin. This shit is hot fucking fire.

Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness, and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again. ~ Og Mandino
Juicy People - Arrested Development vs Biggie - Daigo Re-Bake - Wow. This shit is DOPE. Very bouncy, very lively, amazing. dj Daigo is very good at his craft. This is exactly what the fuck I’m talking ‘bout. Jammerstiltskin.
Pick up the Bang Bang - Mark Ronson & Osaka Monaurail ft Q-Tip & MNDR - Steely Chan’s Blender Mash - Gat damn is that a long list of credits. At this rate i have no idea who actually made this track. ahaha clearly i jest. From the soundcloud of Steely Chan: Are you excited about the release of ‘Beats Rhymes & Life’, the documentary on A Tribe Called Quest? So are we! That’s why we decided to do something with the most recent acapella we could find: a Q-Tip guest spot on Mark Ronson & The Business Intl.’s ‘Bang Bang Bang’ from 2010.
Here’s where the complicated backgrounder comes in. We paired the vocals with Osaka Monaurail’s ‘Pick Up The Pieces One By One’ from their 2006 LP, ‘Reality For The People’. This is a cover of an obscure funk 45 from the Above Average Black Band.
Green Light - Andre 3000 and John Legend - MSTRKRFT Remix - Damn son check this remix by Toronto’s MSTRKRFT (pronounced master craft). via

Yessir. It’s a day for hip hop. Today, you get some heat. New stuff from legends that was caught floating around the websicle. Enjoy.
Royal Flush - Big Boi - Ft Andre 3000 & Raekwon - So, it’s not labeled as Outkast, but Big Boi and Andre? That’s Outkast. This is a little teaser of what’s to come from a new Outkast album. One of the best hip hop/ music groups to ever do it.
Dillanor Rigby - J. Period Remix ft Blu, Black Thought, John Legend, and Porn - Jammer. The title clearly drew me in, combining J Dilla’s name with the Beatle’s Eleanor Rigby? Cool.
Too Long - Saigon ft Black Thought - Not the biggest fan of Saigon, but this track is sick and he goes in. Black Thought destroys this track though.
Boston and the East Coast is getting dumped on. More snow than I’ve seen in a while. It’s beautiful. Something about the city being silenced in snow really intrigues me. To help pass the time, while you’re chilling in the storm, or wherever else you might be, here’s some great tracks. Further, check out the new addition to the Mayor’s Council, my good friend, Nirvana Tikku’s new project, TubeLoop. It’s amazing! Use it to make playlists of your favorite YouTube videos, share with friends, pull your friends videos, pull your videos from Facebook, really awesome… Check it.
Place to Belong - Little Dragon - Little Dragon is great. Saw Little Dragon’s singer, Yukimi (pic above, rrrowr), perform with the Gorillaz this year. She rock.
Spottieottiedopalicious - Nacey Remix - Outkast - Remix of one of my favorite Outkast songs. Outkast is so damn good.
Valerie - Amy Winehouse - Slowed down remix - I have no idea who did this, but damn. It’s a slowed down version of Amy Winehouse’s Valerie. So cool.
Golden Train vs Workin’ Day and Night - Penguin Prison vs Michael Jackson - Cool mashup of MJ and Penguin Prison.

That’s good. That’s like a 40-degree day. Ain’t nobody got nothing to say about a 40-degree day. Fifty. Bring a smile to your face…Nobody gives a fuck about 40.”
Stringer Bell was fairly spot on with this quote in the Wire, my favorite show of all time. Not quite sure why I posted that quote, I probably wanted to make a reference to the weather - but it’s actually stormy, mild in temp, and wild in precip/wind right now. Gotta love the northeast. Now, onto the jammerstiltskins…
Drown Over Baghdad - Outkast vs. Smashing Pumpkins - Really cool mashup/remix of Outkast’s Bomb’s over Baghdad and Smashing Pumpkins, Drown.
